With acts like Mumford & Sons dragging the world of folk music out of the shadows in recent times it’s no surprise that a host of bands are springing up in their wake. Some are good, some terrible. One of the good ones that merits your attention is The Robbie Boyd Band (no prizes for guessing who they’re fronted by) a delightful collection of seven souls playing a number of instruments.
Without even releasing so much as a single the band have amassed over 7000 likes on Facebook and 350000+ plays on Youtube. Testament to how hard they’ve worked gigging since their inception. Supporting the likes of The Kooks, and The Delays they are now ready to release their debut EP ‘Autumn’s Flow’ in June 2012 which will preceded by their debut single ‘I Won’t Let You Go’ which will be released in April.

You may know Ben Kenney for being the bass player in Incubus. You may not know he’s also a solo artist in his own right. What’s more is he’s pretty darn good at it.
On top of all of this, he’s very kindly been giving his back catalogue of solo albums away for diddly squat via a digital download link on his Facebook page. That’s 4 whole albums. It’s really an opportunity not to be missed, so we suggest you go do it right away.
