Had an incredible weekend down in St Ives and Gwithian at The Greenaway Pro. An inspiring night of film and music on Friday night at St Ives Cinema was followed by a huge party down at the Sandsifter in Gwithian on Saturday night. The music was incredible from all bands, and it was a real treat to catch 2 sets from both Sam Fender and the incredible To Kill A King.
Ben Howard played possibly the best set I’ve ever seen from him, he seemed really up for it and it certainly came across in the performance.
The night was organised in part by 2 members from Brother & Bones, Rich and Rob put in a huge effort to pull this together and all credit to them. The set B&B played was full of old treats and snippets from their blinding new EP ‘To Be Alive’ (review coming soon).
A lively performance from Catfish and the Bottlemen was followed by a DJ set from Massive Attack’s Daddy G…..not a bad night eh?
The event was packed, and all for a good cause in the memory of local surfer and lifeguard Tom Greenaway who lost his life in 2007.
Here’s a gallery of from both Friday and Saturday.
