Introducing: John Wean

If it’s Scottish rock of one sort or another, chances are I’m going to like it.  John Wean are no exception.  Appealing to the Feeder and Ash fan within me they have a great track here that’s also got a smattering of The Libertines sensibilities about it.

Hailing from Uddingston (yeah I have no idea either) the stick with the ever-growing trend for Scottish acts to retain their accents in the vocals, and come armed with a boat load of hook filled indie pop pieces of heaven.

Tipped as “Ones to watch” in the Scottish Sun and making waves through consistent touring north and south of the border keep an eye on these guys on the undercard of many a festival this summer.

They have a new single ‘New York Doesn’t Love You Anymore’ which is out on April 16th through The Dinky Record Company and was mixed by Grammy® winner Tom Lord-Alge.
